Gerhard Groenewald from Klipbokkop and Choppi Lindstrohm competed in the Kirkwood 4x4 challenge on July 2, 2011 for the Goodyear team with a Toyota Fortuner. It is the first time a production standard Fortuner competed in this competition. The Goodyear team narrowly came in second in its class.
