Information is shared about the fauna and flora, and we ensure that eco-friendly off road principles are adhered to. The safety of our visitors is of prime importance. We therefore need a minimum of 5 vehicles per party, before a booking to the 4X4 trails can be confirmed. (top)

Will I Damage My 4x4 Vehicle?

The 4X4 trails are well laid out and maintained, and certainly not vehicle breakers. They are fair tests for both driver and vehicle. Training for 4X4 driving in these conditions is available and always recommended for novice drivers and owners of new vehicles. The accompanying guide adds to the safety of drivers and vehicles. One needs a minimum of 6 hours to complete one trail even though it is only 25 km in distance. We therefore do only one trail per day. Each day and trail is billed and paid for separately. (top)

Why Must One Deflate Vehicle Tyres?

The rock formation at Klipbokkop is Table Mountain Sandstone, which is of a soft nature. There are no sharp rocks that will damage tyres. A deflated tyre causes less damage to the trails, and protects the environment against erosion. A compressor is available to increase tyre pressure before departure from the resort. (top)

During summer, from October to March, the days are sunny and temperatures ranges between 20 to 35 degrees Celsius, but cools off during the evening. Our winter months are usually between April and September, with beautiful, clear sunny days, but rain and snow can be expected. Always advisable to phone and check on the weather prior to arrival. Make provision for cool weather on the trail, or during summer, enough sun protection is advisable, with lots of water to prevent dehydration. (top)
